Always wash with cold water! When it comes to machine washing, colder water is always safer. If your machine allows you to control temperature, then set the lowest temperature, but if the machine has set cycles, always opt for the lowest option available. - Protection:

During the 16th Century, the first knitted shirts were produced in Guernsey and Jersey (hence the term 'jersey' is still used).
